Key Dates Wednesday January 25, 2006--7:30 Murphy Aud: meeting for students going on trip. Money is due. (after this date, the student price goes up by $50)---also there is a Lunch Presentation to School of Business Faculty and staff-12:30. Faculty and staff from other departments can attend if we have room. Contact Todd Palmer. MONDAY January 30, 2006--General informational/sign-up meeting 7:30 Murphy Aud C. Money will be collected. Wednesday Feb 1, 2006--7:30 NEWLY SCHEDULED...last time for students to sign up for $150 price. Also we will update status of all projects. (estimated time: 30 minutes) Friday February 3, 2006--Friday Forum lunch presentation to SBU community, 12:30 University Club (above Hickey) Wednesday February 8, 2006--Darius Monsef (On site director of HandsonUSA will be speaking on campus---this is going to be a real treat. We are one of only two campuses in the US that he is going to!). Money for trip will be collected. WEAR YOUR T-SHIRTS TODAY TO CLASS AS WELL! Thursday February 9, 2006--SBU Basketball game vs . Fordham. This is a TV game and we are going to be collecting baseball and softball equipment for the Little League project we have started. (another wear the t-shirt night! hey get used to wearing dirty clothes!) Wednesday February 15, 2006--Last day for those taking buses to sign up. All money is due at 7:30 meeting. At this meeting, Craig Zuckerman will be speaking on post traumatic stress (which is a major problem in the affected area)/ Also update on specific types of jobs people will be doing. Wednesday February 22, 2006--individual team meetings and trainings (TBA). All forms due. Wednesday March 1, 2006--tentatively the last meeting before trip: Final plans will be discussed, current conditions in area, etc. March 3, 2006 - 5:30 PM, Buses leave SBU |
